JOIN MARINE BIOLOGIST JUDAH SANDERS for an educational tour along the Shell Beach coastline and see the marine life close up!
You'll learn more about our coastal marine life, and we'll be bringing a plankton net to collect samples and see what the local phytoplankton and zooplankton look like under a microscope.
The kayak tour includes rental of the kayak, paddle, life vest and helmet from Central Coast Kayaks in Shell Beach. Wetsuits are also available.

We suggest a spring wetsuit. A wetsuit isn't required, but you will get a bit wet from splashing. (Wetsuits rentals are available when you arrive.)
No, this is a mellow tour. If the ocean is rough, we'll cancel the day before and reschedule or refund. In the unlikely event that you fall out of your kayak, we'll help you get back in!
No, all skill levels can do this, including beginners.
We'll be in the water 2-3 hours, depending on the group, so we will finished by noon or 1pm.
