New Online Game Is a Fun Teaching Tool

Free Marine Watchdogs Concentration card game improves memory and teaches marine life

Santa Barbara, CA / For release September 15, 2023 — A new online game released by Marine Watchdogs corresponds with their unique encyclopedic playing cards, each card showing a picture and description of a marine animal.

The Concentration card matching game, which is free and doesn't require any sign-up or app, can be played slowly to learn about the different sea creatures, or it can be played competitively to see how fast you can match all the pairs.

"It's super easy to play on touch screens, but it also works in any kind of browser," said game producer Dave Dahl.

The game can also be played in a classroom environment, or as a trivia game between two or more people. "It can also be used as random flash cards for future marine biologists and anyone who wants to know all the sea animals," Dahl said.

"Games are the best way to learn," said Judah Sanders, Science Director for Marine Watchdogs, who also teaches science. "And this game is fun for adults as well as kids."
